Hello Mom, It’s me
How soothing it is, to hear you
from the other side.

Talk to me, Ma
though far off,
Your voice heals me,
Always,
Assuring me  of  love
that's selfless.

Hello Mom,
Are you listening?

A confession
that I owe you,
I’ve taken you for granted,
you’d forgive me mom,
Won’t  you?

Say something, Ma,
Hello, Ma,
Are those the tears
that are choking you?

Wish I could wipe off
the tears, which trickle
down your cheeks,
to see you smile again.

With the anklet  held in her hand
She stands completely numb;
Her stained eyes
speak  a thousand emotions.

Her forefinger points them
those at the helm;
For transforming her
to a piece of stone.

But, I see,
her heart throbs  with pain;
to see her kin languish
for survival  in the downpour.

What remains  afloat
is  the agony;
and helplessness.

The man with the gray,
Wrinkled skin,
Yeah, he’s my father.

Yes, the man whose hands tremble,
Whose voice sound shaky,
Yeah, is my Papa.

The man with a blurred vision,
And with hearing-impaired,
Yeah, he’s my dad.

His love for me
still youthful.

What's out there for me,
for am safe,
cosily seated on a couch,
enjoying the rains,
the stars and the moon,
untouched by the dangers,
in the opulence of my household.

The bloodshed,
the devastation, the holocaust,
the agony of the homeless,
a mere episode,
for am safe.

As a ritual,
I condemn, I shed a tear.

I am - the Western World.

I am shaken
Terribly shaken
And my faith sunken

My prayers
My silent prayers

You the Omnipresent
You Owe me an answer
A re-affirmation

Aren’t I your kid
Why the foster treatment
Look into my eyes

You are aware
Very well
He is the sole reason – Am alive

They say
You are within
Do prove – Here’s a chance

I strum a lullaby
for my Lil one
Who’s miles away

A lullaby
Of hope, of warmth
And Of union

I strum a lullaby
For my Lil one
Who’s in my heart

A lullaby
Of love  and
Of  twinkling stars

I strum a lullaby
for you, my darling
for we are One
And not two
